~About MoonLance~
Issue 1- Presents an introduction to the characters and lays down the foundation for future issues.  The current plot for the first issue is MoonLance discovering why his bloodlust flares up around Tsuki and why mysterious dreams plague him during the day.

~Characters~
MoonLance (alias)
February 29 (500 years ald excluding four year difference)
19-20 years old (physical age)
5'11"
153 lbs.
Marking Color: Purple
Eye Color: Purple/Red (depends on the mood he's in)
Hair Color: Silver/ Midnight Blue (Navy)
Though not his real name, MoonLance only responds to his alias.  His name is unknown and he refrains from using it for some strange reason.  His original goal was to capture Tsuki, but when he did, he didn't know what to do with her.  Seeing that it would be unfair to kill her, he basically just let her go, but kept a close eye on her afterwards.  He soon regrets this though, as she harbors massive untapped power reserves that could easily destroy him if she so much as touches him when she loses control over it.  He also regrets keeping such a close eye on her because the band director notices him and forces him to join the marching band (see DBMB for more details).  Being a vampire, he does crave blood, but tries his best to keep his bloodlust in check.  Of course, the exception to this is when he is around Tsuki where he mentally loses control.  Tsuki, though, has sworn that he ever killed his victims, she'd kill him in an instant without hesitation.  This first happened when she got in a fight with two boys, and when he slaughtered them for just touching her, she snapped (I absolutely can't wait to draw this scene).  Because Tsuki knows that vampires have to share blood to change someone, she's not worried about his taking blood unless he kills them.  He'll sometimes have haunting dreams about his mother, and the cause of his existance.

Tsuki (means Moon in Japanese)
December 18 (18 years old)
5'8"
136 lbs.
Marking Color: Light Blue
Eye Color: Forest Green/Aqua (depends on power control)
Hair Color: Light/Dark Brown
Tsuki lives on her own supported through by a local charity group.  Though she doesn't look it, she's your typical average tomboy and constantly gets into fights.  She's a senior colorgaurd for her school's marching band (see DBMB for more details) and is extremely athletic.  Most of her friends are boys as the girls shun her and want nothing to do with her (and I can relate).  Even though she's friends with a majority of boys, she has yet to find a boyfriend (which again, I can sort of relate to).  Her grades aren't great, but they aren't bad either.  Much to her dismay though, she has to wear the girls' school uniform even though she hates it, and she often tries to get away with changing it to suit her liking, but she always seems to be caught (she often thinks the school system's out to get her on that).  She has a pretty decent sixth-sense and a weath of dormant energy, even though she doesn't know it.

~Comic~
"Death by Marching Band" (DBMB) is the comic spinoff that pokes fun of MoonLance.  Basically,  DBMB is a parody of my school's marching band.  Tsuki is a colorguard in the band and when MoonLance is looking for her, the band director forces him to sign up.  Thus, MoonLace is now a male colorguard in the band.  Watch as gets trampled on, stuck in the bagage compartment of the tour bus, find out what rights freshmen have, and get all-around mutilated!!!

~Inspiration~
The Korean comic series "Rebirth" by Lee Kang Woo was originally the basis for this series, but it soon took on a life of it's own.  I based MoonLance's character design unintentionally on Sesshoumaru from "Inuyasha".  The mini-comic was born when my brother was making fun of my comic, and it went from there.  I came up with the rough character sketches and a vague outline of the plot in summer school year of 2004.

MoonLance will no longer be posted on deviantArt and neither will any of my other works of fiction except for that one poem that I did for the Reflections contest.  You can now read MoonLance by going here. --> www.fictionpress.com/~yuugicha… worry, I will still be posting updates here as to what is going on and when the story is updated.  The only MoonLance thing that will be posted on DA are covers, illustrations, and DBMB.

Posted chapter two today.

8/14/05  9:17 PM
Posted chapter one today.

8/10/05  5:05 PM
Started working on the outline of DBMB with my brother, and on chapter one of "MoonLance" in the novel format (I'm sort of at a wall in ideas there though).

8/2/05  4:44 PM
Yes, I have given up on the main comic, so DBMB will become the new replacement.  My brother is going to help me (hopefully) with the plot elements for that.  MoonLance, though, will be done in novel form.  It might be reborn again when I have nothing better to do, but probably not.

7/26/05  8:08 PM
All right, the introduction of MoonLance in volume form has been put up and I hope you all enjoy.  Don't think I've given-up on the comic just yet though (though I almost did once or twice), because it's not true.  I have been working on the new cover for issue one.  JellyfishKrag looked at it and said I made MoonLance a super-bishie!  XD

7/9/05  9:03 PM
If you haven't noticed already, all the MoonLance pages have been taken down because of a major plot change.  Not only that, MoonLance will also be in written novel form for making plot ideas easier.  So, this comic will now be based on the novel format.

7/5/05  8:34 PM
I've started working on MoonLance once again with new character sketches and information in character profiles.  I don't know when I will be able to scan in some stuff though.

5/18/05  7:09 PM
For those of you who haven't noticed, MoonLance is currently on hiatus because a lot of things have been going on in my life (but mostly it's because I'm too lazy...).  Anyways, I will get back to this, so don't give up on me please!

4/8/05  11:50 PM
I might redo pages and cover as I have a new drawing style that I like much better.

2/28/05  4:30 PM
All right, I've been working on the third page so expect that up in a few days or so.

2/19/05  2:23 PM
Okay, I'm redoing issue 1, page 3, but to make up for it I will post the very delayed special holiday art for MoonLance.

2/15/05 7:58 PM
I'll have issue 1, page 3 up as soon as I scan and CG it.  I'd really like if you'd leave comments that you think appropriate for the MoonLance journal section.

Funny how Tsuki's "untapped immense power" mirrors what I intend to do with Asuka(if you've read Gwendy's fic, you know what I mean.)

Sorry I just read all of Moony's profile.

Moonlance: Hey, WTF are you calling me Moony for!?
Me: Sorry, I didn't think you mind.
Moonlance: Grrrr...
